Recently Hired? If you are recently hired faculty and are not yet on payroll, you may use the Rutgers University Libraries to prepare for classes, arrange for course Reserves, borrow books, and connect to licensed electronic library resources from off-campus. First obtain a Visiting Scholar photo ID card from the RUconnection Office, and then present the card and register with the Libraries at any circulation desk. To apply for the Visiting Scholar card, complete an ID Card Request Form [PDF] with the signature of the head of your department and present it at any RUconnection Card Office. Complete instructions are available at the Rutgers RUconnection Card website. Reserves Place materials on reserve for a course by filling out a Reserve Request Form (instructors only).
